The Void SMP is a single-world survival Minecraft multiplayer server created by _DeathDreams_ on October 8, 2020, associated with a namesake Discord server made of multiple friends. Though, it's not exactly a survival server at this point, since the players have OP access, including to creative. The ownership is a joint ownership between _DeathDreams_, Dregcraft, and pinheadz0. The server is mainly operated by _DeathDreams_, with CruntNug and minecrsaftgod69 also having admin rights.
It was preceded by two survival servers hosted by another friend, Dregcraft, initially on a free hosting service, and then his own PC and connection, earlier in the same month. After various performance and connection issues, and losing the world both times, Dregcraft lost interest in running a Minecraft server. Shortly after, _DeathDreams_ had taken up the mantle and paid for a professional hosting service for the server and world that have been running continuously to this day.
Over the months, the built parts of the server have been growing steadily. Voidville is the main part of world, with most of the player houses, a mall, a stadium, a parkour course, various beaches, a lighthouse, and a massive park. It also includes Herobrine Hills, a desolate Nether-themed wasteland. It is split into six villages, including one for modern high-rises. There are various architectural styles and easter eggs throughout the whole village built by different players over the months, with a coherent tightness tying it all together.
Up the Bitanti River is San Celini, an Italian-themed village built by minecrsaftgod69, separate to Voidville. There are multiple Italian-style buildings, a plaza named Piazza Della Fortuna, a farm island, and a vineyard. Along with the Italian-themed architecture are the Italian-themed names for bodies of water, like Bitanti River and Fiume River. There is also a lot of map art built with the village by minecrsaftgod69 that can be seen from way above.
To the west of San Celini and Voidville is a master-planned community called Testificate Ranch, for villagers. Built over the course of three months from prototyping to construction to final touches, Testificate Ranch is modeled after real-world master-planned developments, like Millenia at Chula Vista's Otay Ranch. With a plan for the whole area, no block was left untouched, with every block carefully curated for landscaping or buildings. It is built in a contemporary style, with a very dense and walkable footprint, which consists of a mix of apartments, townhouses, and tight single-family homes. There are various parks dotted all over the community, including a central park with a massive fountain.
Tying together all the communities is a lengthy train system with many stops. The Blue Line connects Voidville to the spawn region, and the Green Line connects Voidville to Testificate Ranch and San Celini.
The whole server has no written rules beyond the honor system, letting people use hacked clients and creative wherever, but there is a pure survival refuge area away from the other creations, with survival only and no hacks or OP commands allowed.
